“Yukon Cornelius” – As rare and elusive as the ‘silver and gold’ sought by its namesake, this beautiful and unusual pen will start many a conversation.
Yukon Cornelius started life as a single stick of lovely white oak. It received its shiny aluminum polka dot treatment and was then shaped and sanded on a lathe. After buffing at 10,000 grit, this pen received a 3-step staining process, first in black walnut stain, then cherry stain and finally a light coat of 100% tung oil to bring out the grain.
Yukon Cornelius received a durable coat of cyanoacrylate buffed to a high-gloss shine to keep it beautiful for years to come. It was then set in 24k gold plate designer settings. It writes smoothly in black ballpoint ink.
This superior fine writing instrument took many hours of cutting, drilling and gluing before it was hand-shaped and sanded on a lathe. Its beautiful design and gloss shine make Yukon Cornelius an eye-catching work of useful art.
